So, you’ve decided that you’re going to get organized for the New Year since you’ve missed too many deadlines and forgot about too many appointments this past year. What better way to get a start on a more organized personal and business life than to get a PDA to assist you? Being the tech-wiz that you are (this is where you nod your head in agreement), you’ve decided to opt for something that includes more than just the common calendar and timetable. This is where I chime in to introduce to you the HP Jornada 565 Pocket PC.

Powered by Microsoft’s newly-released Pocket PC 2002 software, the Jornada 565 promises the best in not only personal organization, but also Internet connectivity, audio and video, as well as feature expandability, all comprised in a sleek metallic casing and utilizing a vibrant 16-bit color screen. Boasting a very powerful (in the Pocket PC world, at least) 206MHz StrongARM processor and coming standard with 32MB of RAM and 32MB of ROM, the Jornada 565 is one impressive piece of pocket PC machinery! It also comes with a built-in audio speaker, which is very impressive in itself, a built-in microphone as well as an IrDA infrared port for “beaming” data back and forth with other Pocket PC’s. As if the standard features aren’t enough, the Jornada 565 ensures future expandability for more storage or more functions such as wireless networking and Internet through a CompactFlash Type I expansion slot. It’s good to see the Jornada 565 with a somewhat standard expansion slot compared to many of the other PDA’s on the market today that include proprietary slots.
