Test System Configuration

We tested these two drives on the following system with both a clean installation of Windows 98 Second Edition and Windows 2000 Professional, both using FAT32. The test drives were loaded on the primary master channel of our motherboard's built-in UDMA-66 controller of the AMD-756 Southbridge. Each other drives had only 1 partition that used the entire capacity of each drive and the operating system was installed directly onto these partitions:

* No extra drivers were installed, used only the built-in drivers if they were included in the Windows 98/2000 installation CDs.
